A grita is a traditional Ayurvedic dosage form in which ghee (butter fat) is enriched with a special herbal substance. Only organic ghee made from hay butter is used for Classic Ayurveda Gritas. Shatavari ghee can be used internally and externally.

Shatavari belongs to the asparagus family. The root is used. In Ayurveda it is considered a tonic for women. Translated, Shatavari means "the one who has a hundred husbands."
Shatavari reduces the doshas Vata and Pitta and increases the Kapha dosha.
